THE SITUATION:

Friend and collaborator, Anita Cheung, shared her vision for Vancouver’s first-ever children’s pop-up art gallery in partnership with Ryleah Shae Creative. Knowing local media coverage to bring attention and event traffic would be key, I got on board leveraging my media contacts and relationships to spread awareness about Tombolo.


THE APPROACH & RESULTS:

  • Over 100 artist submissions and 500+ attendees over 3-day weekend

  • Developed Tombolo’s messaging and media kit crafted intentionally for future annual cadence potential and attracting sponsorships

  • Earned media coverage from Vancouver Magazine, Daily Hive, Georgia Straight and more key outlets

  • 3.8% Instagram follower increase

  • Well-aligned partnership with Witching Hour YVR, Alligator Soup, Boketto & Tili

  • Financial donation to Vancouver Public Library’s Friends of the Library program
