EXPECTFUL X BEING FRENSHE

As an ongoing meditation content writer for Expectful, this cross-platform partnership with celebrity brand, Being Frenshe, was fun to deliver. Working with the Expectful and Maesa teams, I wrote and voiced a series of meditation connected to Being Frenshe’s wellness rituals and products. The meditations were distributed across both Expectful and Being Frenshe’s digital properties including app, Youtube, website and email.

The Background Story

Mindfulness and meditation became a part of my routine in my late-20s to manage my mindset and anxiety, how I show up for others and myself — really a reflection of my overall being. The positive shifts and synchronicities were significant. When I fall out of practice, the difference is noticeable. When life gets chaotic, meditation brings me back to balance.

In 2017, I began looking for a place to meditate in Vancouver like the cool spaces in LA & NYC. This led me to formal training and working with brands.

  • The Lab of Meditation 200 Hour Teacher Training Certification - the only program in Canada accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers’ Association

  • Founding guide at Canada’s first modern meditation studio: Moment Meditation

  • Ongoing meditation content writing for Expectful - acquired by Babylist

  • Featured in CBC’s documentary Identity of Wellness, produced by Self-Hired

  • In-person events and content partnerships with Kit + Ace, lululemon & Blume

  • Virtual Betty Guide: a members only subscription service

“The intent is to remind everyone of a powerful tool we all have access to.”

Sharing a practice of meditation is one small way to help others. While wellness explodes in the marketplace and meditation goes mainstream (especially since the pandemic), I want to continue to unravel the status quo even the tiniest bit. The intent is to remind everyone of a powerful tool we all have access to in our ‘life toolbox’. The approach focuses on incorporating meditation into your every day lifestyle to flow through the ups and sometimes downs of life with a little more ease. I get it because I’m just like you. I’m focused on raising my young child, running a household and business, all while attempting to see the world, spend time with friends and have time for myself. Beyond brand partnerships, joining forces with the health & wellness community is of importance to me. Think: counsellors, holistic practitioners, studios, and more to support and round out the well-being of their clients. The modern day lifestyle is demanding. But together, we can make meditation doable so you can have better and the best days ever.

Ishra
